Commentary for July 4, 2020: Uh oh! The Death Egg Robot is back! Fun fact, this scene here is the most faithful re-creation of any part of the original version of this story. GUN carrying Sonic away in an armoured truck, while two soldiers gloat about capturing him, before being ambushed by Doctor Eggman. In the original, it was the Egg Mobile from Sonic Adventure 2 that Eggman arrived in (he used it a lot early in Eon’s Comic) and this scene took place during the day, rather than at night. The soldiers’ conversation was also less ill-informed conspiracy theories and bigotry and more just general grousing about how little glory they could expect as rank-and-file grunts. |
