Commentary for August 4, 2020: Kari-Ya’s dialogue in the first panel here is actually a callback to some of her dialogue from the last time Eon, Delta, and Cookirini fought her, which took place in a 2010 story towards the end of the original Eon’s Comic. It’s among the stuff I’m likely to be re-creating very faithfully when I do finally get to it, but that’s years away yet. Suffice to say, in the story in question, Kari-Ya used very similar taunts, also after injuring Eon. And talking of injuring Eon, that is a nasty cut Kari-Ya’s given him with her fullmetal backhand there. He’s lucky she didn’t smack him in the teeth or she’d have probably shattered them. |
