Commentary for December 23, 2019: I don’t think it was ever my intent, but I can’t help feeling that the Specialist looks an awful lot like Sally Acorn. Her hair is the wrong colour and Sally’s eyes are a lighter blue than that, but still... She’s not even meant to be a squirrel, mind you. I’m not sure what she’s meant to be. Maybe a dingo? Some kind of canid, I think. Definitely not a forest-dwelling rodent. But still, the distribution of colours on her just looks a little Sally. I had a similar issue doing this page to doing the crowd shot on the previous one, only this time I had the problem of a crowd being close up enough that I couldn’t really get away with doing it in silhouette to save time. So I had to draw a dormant Gizoid over and over and over and over... I found a method to do it relatively quickly, but it was, as I recall, quite tedious. As with the previous chapters, I have now made an updated version of this page, which is larger, with clearer text, to make it consistent with Chapter 7 onwards. Hopefully, this will make the earlier chapters easier to read. |
