Commentary for March 13, 2020: Since Omega is supposed to be such a powerful robot, I figured there was no way I could make this an easy fight for Sonic or Blaze. That said, you rarely ever see Sonic characters taking visible injuries in battle like Blaze does here, even when they’re being beaten to a pulp, but I wanted to show just how high the stakes are. Eggman wants to kill Sonic and anyone else who gets in his way. Yes, he’s an eccentric kook, but he is still very dangerous and should never be underestimated. After all, he’s already killed hundreds of GUN soldiers today without a second thought.
