Commentary for January 18, 2020:

I sometimes wonder about where characters stand in terms of D&D alignment. With Eon, I think he has to be somewhere between Lawful Good and Neutral Good. If we understand Lawful to refer to written law, to respecting authority and the chain of command, to obeying orders, et cetera, then he is definitely Neutral Good. However, Lawful can also be understood to refer to adhering to a personal code of ethics, which Eon does, or at least he tries to. That makes it tricky for me to place somewhere on an alignment scale. We may come to back this before the end of this chapter.

Fun fact, when I first began Chapter 7, I had no intention of making the page size bigger. Indeed, I made the first 19 pages at the original page size for Eon’s World Vol. 2, which is (I think) about 75 percent the size they are now. This meant smaller text and word balloons more crammed into whatever space I could find. It wasn’t great, and I elected to make the pages bigger when I got to page 20, which meant going back and resizing the previous ones (in exactly the same way I’ve now done with Chapters 1 through 6). However, like in some of the previous chapters, I managed to not properly save the original image file for panel 2 here, and I had to take it from the file with the panels and word balloons on separate layers, which meant increasing its size, rather than decreasing it as I would have from the original image. The result was a pixelly image with notable loss of quality. Thankfully, this is the last time you will ever see it in Eon’s World, as this page size became the new standard for Vol. 2 from this chapter onwards.
