Commentary for December 23, 2019: If I recall correctly, I spent quite some time creating the cavern that this page takes place in. Nowadays, I’d just create a rough guide in SketchUp and draw the details. But I was trying so hard to make the 3D models work as part of the backgrounds still back then. In any case, the idea of an army of genetically engineered orc super soldiers is once I came up with while I was still creating Eon’s Comic and I even dropped some subtle hints about it in the last story arcs featuring the Echidna Empire. When the time comes to re-create those stories for Eon’s World Vol. 1, I expect I will drop the same hints then, too. Anyway that is the end of Chapter 6! Originally, I had planned to wrap up this story arc with this chapter, and it was going to be called “The Battle of Angel Island”, but I found the script was running a bit long and decided I needed another chapter to finish the arc with, which is why I named Chapter 6 “The Fall of Angel Island” instead and wrote Chapter 7 to conclude the arc. However, because Chapter 7 is 40 pages long and my time was still very limited by work obligations, it took me well over a year to complete it. But I am happy to say that at least one chapter of Eon’s World Vol. 2 has gone online each year since 2016, when Chapter 6 finally went up. As with the previous chapters, I have now made an updated version of this page, which is larger, with clearer text, to make it consistent with Chapter 7 onwards. Hopefully, this will make the earlier chapters easier to read. |
