Commentary for December 12, 2019: In order to bring the format of the earlier chapters into line with Chapter 7 onwards, I’ve made an updated version of this page, which is larger, with clearer text. Hopefully, this will make the earlier chapters easier to read. Unfortunately, the original commentary for this page appears to have been lost, which is frustrating. Still, there isn’t a great deal to say, really. I remember being much happier with how Sato looks in panel 2 than I had been with how she looked on the previous page, and I recall wishing I had taken the time to make Saturn’s rings appear rounder than they are here, but otherwise, the art was good for the time. Even now I think the final panel looks pretty decent, with the frigate’s sudden course change. |
