Commentary for November 23, 2013: Originally, I had planned for Wargaz to just have a scar over one eye when the comic returned, without any explanation for it, and I even drew that a couple of years ago. But, instead, I thought it would be cooler to show him actually getting the scar. It also allowed for more melodrama, particularly in panel 3, which is a direct homage to one of the most over-the-top lines in The Transformers ever, uttered by Fangry in issue #325 (#77 of the American version). I don't know why, but doing this page took a lot longer than expected, which is a bit concerning. I am sincerely hoping that I don't find myself running up against the deadline soon, but I think it might only be a matter of time. If that happens, expect an off-week with some artwork instead of a new page (and my apologies). Also, happy 50th anniversary of Doctor Who! Addendum for October 5, 2019: In order to bring the format of the earlier chapters into line with Chapter 7 onwards, I’ve made an updated version of this page, which is larger, with clearer text. Hopefully, this will make the earlier chapters easier to read. |
