Commentary for December 23, 2019: As mentioned on the previous page, I had intended for Chapter 6 to begin in February, 2015, but I wasn’t able to stick to that plan. I decided to try completing new chapters of Eon’s World and then uploading them in their entirety, doing it in what I called “Netflix style” -- you know, the way Netflix usually releases an entire season of a show at once, so people can binge it -- and that way I could take a little more time on each chapter and release the whole thing once it was complete. I did that for Chapters 6, 7, and 8, only finally returning to a biweekly release schedule with Chapter 9 in January, 2019. But 2015 was a rough year for me. I had serious financial difficulties and ended up accepting a job at a call centre that, in retrospect, was a very bad idea, for reasons I shan’t go into here. Suffice to say from mid May to late July, 2015, I was working full time and had no time whatsoever to work on Eon’s World. I did manage to get my contract revised so I’d only have to work part time, which gave me four days a week to work on it, but I also had serious computer problems that summer, which delayed resuming work on Chapter 6. Eventually, with the help of a friend, I got my computer fixed and carried on, but with so much less time to do it now, it took me that much longer and it wasn’t until April 2, 2016 that Eon’s World would continue. That said, I was (and I still am) quite proud of the work I did on this chapter and I’m finally writing the commentaries for it now. As with the previous chapters, I have now made an updated version of this page, which is larger, with clearer text, to make it consistent with Chapter 7 onwards. Hopefully, this will make the earlier chapters easier to read. |
