Page for November 29, 2003:

Commentary for September 15, 2018:

When I first did this page in 2003, I had this idea that Sora-Ya could always tell when someone was lying to her, a bit like Scorpius in Farscape (which, at the time, was probably my favourite TV series, and it still ranks very highly). This was Sora-Ya's vestigial telepathy. She couldn't read minds or transmit her thoughts to others, but she could reliably tell whenever someone was lying. It's a trait of hers that I didn't run with in the end and I've nixed altogether in the remaster. That said, she does have a small degree of vestigial telepathy, but not anything terribly useful. She's probably more of a mild empath than a genuine telepath.

Anyway, that aside, very little has changed on this page, aside from some of the effects. (Hello again, seventeen-year-old Beth with Photoshop and no one to stop her.) Hell, the dialogue in panel 11 is practically the same as in the original. I really liked how Sonic announced his presence there. It was very Sonic.
