Page for November 15, 2003:
Commentary for September 15, 2018:
I figure that if Eon's World is set after the classic Mega Man era, but before the Mega Man X era, then the rise of artificial intelligence and the personhood of robots capable of thinking and feeling on the same level as humans is a logical idea to explore. At least, for now. Future developments, as you will see, may very well put a halt to that discussion.
That was the biggest change to this page in the remaster. However, I also made a slight change to the way the marines respond to Timnmons's command of GUN. Originally, nobody was sorry to see the back of General Davis. And while no one here is depicted as longing for his return, I felt it was important to show that not everyone has accepted Timmons. At least, not yet. Also, in it's entire 281 year history, GUN has never been led by a woman. While I do think Captain Smithson implies this in panel 10, I wanted to state it clearly here, in case what she said was too subtle.
This page is noteworthy as being where I began featuring the first complete cross section of a ship's interior that I made for Eon's World. Not the last, however. I made many of them, right up to and including the Invincible, which was most recently seen here, and will return in Chapter 8 of Eon's World 2.0.
