Commentary for September 12, 2018:

This page was originally where I established that there was a Chancellor of the United Nations of Earth and that GUN did not answer to President Eastwood. For the remaster, I opted to shed a little light on GUN's history and the fact that it has basically become a rogue agency. In the original story, one of the biggest obstacles to clearing Sonic's name was the media, which had an institutional bias towards GUN. It was, I suspect part of my ongoing metaphor for the Iraq War and for how corporate-owned media had a right-wing, pro-war, pro-military bias. The media never really factored into the story directly though, so I nixed that angle for the remaster. Honestly, in Eon's World, the media has never really been a huge problem. Yes, there is a parody of Fox News, which is SSTV News, but it's never really wielded the power and influence over politics in the story that the real Fox News does. So, for the remaster, I didn't feel it was necessary to talk about that and, instead, used the space to talk more about what GUN is, its relationship with the government, and the idea of bringing down General Davis and bringing GUN back under government control.
